My name is Billy Wakeling and I'm a full time Spiritual Medium working on platform for churches and centres, and also giving private and confidential readings, among many other spiritual matters.

Billy's autobiography  (Short version)

From a young age I had a "feeling" there was more to life than meets the eyes, something else, filled with love!

I grew up and around spiritual movements without realising it at the time, as far as I knew it was normal. I remember my Mum visiting a neighbour to have her tea leaves read. I remember looking at the cup when the lady had finished, with the "debris" of leaves left in the cup and thinking to myself "How, What, Where??". I have since read tea leaves myself and I have to admit you can actually read a lot from the "debris". I have fond memories of my dear Nan telling my cousins and I stories of how Granddad visited her at night, and how they would have conversations. I was about 12 years old at the time and my Granddad passed to spirit a year before I was born. But as I previously said this was all normal to me. I thought nothing of it, why would I question my Nan?. Little did I know the impact she would have on me when she herself finally went to the spirit world. More on that later......

Spirit tried to get in touch with me from a young age. But alas I have to admit I was too scared. Unlike my Nan who knew her loved ones visited, I sadly did not know who was visiting me?. It was the fear of the unknown. Maybe looking back I should have spoken of my concerns to my Nan?. My Nan and Granddad have been at the forefront of my spiritual journey. My Nan would always come through when in later life I myself would seek Medium's for a reading. Each time she would come through and say "You can be a Medium", "No not little old me" I would say. I'm pleased to say that she never gave in on me! I remember when I finally did give in it was because my Nan came through so strongly and with stern words, in fact she gave me a good telling off!. The Medium giving me the reading was taken aback. But thankfully I took Nan's kick up the rear with full gusto. That Medium who gave me the reading then took me on as his fledgling (a trainee spirit worker). I remember the first time he took me out to work on platform at a Spiritual centre. I was alongside six other fledglings. I'd only started my journey some six months prior. There were around thirty people in the audience. While we were out the back waiting with butterflies in our stomachs (This I have now realised is spirit drawing in closer. I still get butterflies in my stomach to this day). I was voted to go first out of all of us. So off I started and went straight to this young couple. "Have you been hearing running up the stairs?" I said. "Oh yes" they replied. "You have?" I replied, more in disbelief that they understood my small message. I continued to tell this lovely couple that a young child, a girl, lives with them very happily in their home. What was more astonishing to me was that they knew and completely understood the whole reading I'd just given them!!. I was truly in awe that spirit, like my Nan said, would communicate with me. Now I must add that I really don't remember every reading I have given since then, I'm sure it would drive anyone, including myself crazy. But as they say you never forget your first love, working for spirit has been a deep love of mine, and I know I am truly blessed and extremely thankful to them for working with me as they continue to do so to this day.    

Since my early days I have had the pleasure of not only giving readings, but having my own fledglings, running circles where fledglings are taught to understand and work with spirit. 

Giving one day workshops, concentrating on one particular topic teaching the attendees. A popular favourite is sand reading. This is similar to tea-leaf reading.

Investigations, whereby we would see what spirits are around in particular buildings. 

Rescue work where we would help poor souls trapped on the earth plane for whatever reason go back to the spirit world to be with their loved ones. The feelings we get of release and relief after a rescue is truly amazing.   

I've so far been working for Spirit for just over 20 years, and I have truly loved each minute of my journey with them. And I am thankful to add that I still continue to learn and grow with my Nan and Granddad, among many others by my side helping and guiding me.

I have far too many more stories to tell of the wonders I have experienced with spirit, too many to add here. But I hope that your journey is as rewarding as mine has been, and continues to be.
